The Conductor Camp is a concept originally developed by HSO Music Director Alexandra Arrieche for her Brazilian friends and inspired by the lack of opportunities they encounter in their country. The original Camp's success  grew the project to a multi-dimensional training program involving career mentorship, creative programming, rehearsal technique, and audition prep.

 

HSO launched its own annual Conductor Camp program in 2019 with grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nevada Arts Council and we look forward to hosting more conductors from around the country and beyond for years to come.
