In each division the solo musicians, duets and small ensembles may be selected in each of the three categories: Strings, Wind/Brass/Percussion ensembles and Piano/Voice.​

• December 1, 2025, Live ​Audition Location and Time to be announced

• The HSO Jury will choose three winners

• Two in Senior category and One in Junior category.

• Each winner will have the opportunity to perform with the orchestra during a regular season concert, giving them the unique experience of performing in a professional orchestral setting.

Guidelines
 

1. Works selected for performance must be memorized; 

2. The audition piece should be the piece you intend to perform at the concert; Orchestral accompaniment must be available for purchase or rental;  

3. All auditions must be performed with piano accompaniment and performers are responsible for providing and rehearsing with the accompanist prior the audition; 

4. If a candidate needs an accompanist, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra can provide names of competent pianists;  

5. A copy of the music performed must sent to the judges with the application;

6. At the Judges' discretion, a winner MAY NOT be selected for a given category and/or multiple winners may be selected for a given category;  

7. Final selection of music will be at the discretion of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra;

8. Applicants will compete in categories not previously won.
