The Henderson Symphony Orchestra
Performs Holiday Classics and Carols
Nothing warms the heart as much as music during the holidays, and the Henderson Symphony Orchestra (HSO) will deliver a sleigh-full of it at its annual Holiday Spectacular on Thursday, December 18, at 7 pm. The free concert will be held in the theater at Coronado High School, in Henderson.

The performance will be conducted by Timothy Thomas, a member of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra and director of the Coronado High School Orchestra.

“I’ve programmed beloved holiday classics because there is a unique, almost communal magic in music that instantly connects people to each other and their fondest memories of the season,” said Maestro Timothy Thomas. “Our goal is to share our love of this music with the audience and allow them to set aside their worries and just feel the joy and warmth of the Christmas spirit.”
Program Highlights
The program includes timeless carols that evoke the peace and wonder of the nativity as well as festive hits everyone hopes to hear during the holiday season, such Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bells, The First Noel, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Joy to the World, and Silent Night. Classical holiday music selections will include the Hallelujah Chorus by G. F. Handel, Farandole by Georges Bizet, and the Christmas Overture by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The Henderson Symphony Orchestra is a not-for-profit orchestra whose mission is to share the magic of classical music to the widest possible audience, through free and modestly priced performances, educational outreach, and artistic collaborations.
